Be on the Lookout

Some people say you shouldn’t be too ‘open’ about your personal life when it comes to business. I don’t necessarily agree with that. I’m a pretty open book and once in a while like to share things going on. With that being said, I’m writing this from the heart and sharing something huge going on in my life.

You probably already know that I’m a single mom. My son (Caleb)is 12 and I have been raising him on my own since six days before his first birthday! He has talked about moving in with his dad for the last three or four years now and I always told him I would support that decision and let him make the move when and if he wanted. But to be honest, I never expected the day would come when he actually would do it! But he has.

Recently (June 12th to be exact), I packed up all Caleb’s belongings, helped load the boxes in his dad and step mom’s car and hugged my son good bye.

That was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done in life so far!

He only lives an hour away but it feels like the other side of the world! And let’s just say that where we live (Northern Michigan) that hour in the winter is going to be next to impossible to do. The winters are harsh making travel (especially from where I am to where he is) sometimes nonexistent. So, that means that this winter I won’t see my son on a regular basis and that’s not ok with me.

This brings me to a huge decision I have just recently made – moving to the town where Caleb is. This will allow me to not worry about how to get to him in the winter or if my car breaks down! Of course as you probably know moving is a huge expense! My goal is to be moved by the time he starts school (middle school at that – yikes!).

So, that gives me until the beginning of September (September 1st to be exact – that’s the date I have set as my moving date) to come up with $1500.00 which is what I figure I’ll need to make the move. That’s a pretty huge chunk of change but I know I can do it. I’m determined to make this happen so I can be with my son!

With that being said, be on the lookout for specials I’m going to be offering these next few months to help raise the money I need to make the move to be with my son!

These special offers will be on a limited basis and to a limited number of people only. Current clients and my mailing list have first dibs.
