Seven Article Writing Tips For The Non Writer

legal padRecently I wrote a post, Three Benefits of Article Marketing, that talked about…well you got it – three benefits of article marketing. Obviously to do any sort of article marketing you have to have articles first. The thought of writing your own article can be overwhelming and scary. Believe me I know!

A lot of people consider themselves a non-writer but with these seven article writing tips even the non-writer will be able to create their own content. Heck, even someone that has been writing their own articles for awhile can go back and revisit these basics.

Happy Thanksgiving

turkeyHappy Thanksgiving!

I hope you have an awesome day with your family. While we should be thankful every day don’t forget to take a few minutes today to stop and think about all that you have to be thankful for.

I have a lot to be thankful for. I recently was a guest blogger over at Indie Biz Chicks and guess what the post was all about? Yup – what I’m thankful for in business. If you would like to take a minute to read it you can find it here.

In that guest post I narrowed it down to the top three things I’m thankful for in business. It was hard because there truly are so many blessings to being self-employed.

January 2010 is going to mark 4 years since I left my J-O-B and plunged into working from home. I think back to those first few months and all I can say is “man I’ve come a long way. A really long way!” There will always be new things to learn, new roadblocks to weave around but I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Here are a few more things I’m thankful for:

  • Support from other WAHMs
  • Awesome online friendships
  • The WAHM community & their outpouring of love to other WAHMs
  • Twitter and Facebook connections
  • High speed internet! ;-)
  • WordPress
  • Skype

Some of it seems silly (wordpress, skype, etc) but I really am so thankful for those things! They are a huge part of my business and truly do make my life easier!

When it comes to your business what are you thankful for?

Until next time…

Three Benefits of Article Marketing

One of the very first things I started off doing for clients, when I opened my Virtual Assistant business back in January 2006, was article marketing. It didn’t take long to learn how beneficial it was as clients shared with me the increase in traffic to their sites from an article (or articles) I had just submitted on their behalf.

Business Success Has A Lot To Do With Being Positive

To be successful in business it requires several factors. One factor and probably the most important is your attitude. You will be faced with situations over and over again that test your patience, frustrate you, overwhelm you and sometimes just plain flat out make you want to throw in the towel. Your attitude and remaining positive is going to keep you going when you think you can’t.

Having a positive attitude isn’t about always seeing a silver lining. Sure if you have the disposition to always see a silver lining even when the darkest clouds are hanging overhead then that’s great and nothing will ever get you down. But let’s be realistic here. Being an entrepreneur and running your own business is a huge responsibility. At some point even the most positive of people will have a situation that they aren’t going to see a silver lining in. That’s ok. It’s also about looking at each situation and finding the possibilities. Again when looking at each situation and its possibilities you might not see a silver lining but if you stop and think about the fact that these situations will benefit your business suddenly you start feeling positive again.
