It Was Time For A New Design Around Here

If you know me offline you know that quite frequently I change things up – my hairstyle, my hair color, rearranging my living space, etc. I get bored with the same thing over and over all the time.

Obviously when it comes to being online and having a brand for your business it isn’t a great idea to change things up all the time. I’ve had the same design here for quite awhile and It just hasn’t ‘cut’ it. There was something missing that I could never lay my finger on. I knew it was time to change the design. I liked the colors of my old design (the image is of my old design) and the header so I wanted to implement that into the new design.

This time around I was able to sit down next to Kelly from Freshnets and be involved in the entire process of the redesign in a ‘face to face’ manner.  Usually the process requires emails back and forth with things like do you like this, do you want this here, is this color ok, etc. That process works and it’s how I’ve done things in the past but this experience was entirely different and made me realize how much time and work really goes into creating a new design!

When Kelly and I sat down next to each other (in most circumstances you won’t be able to sit down in person next to your web designer) and got down to the nitty gritty of it we had everything completed within about four hours, maybe a little bit longer.

The moral of this story?
