Are You Working In or On Your Business?

in-or-onOne of my new favorite TV shows is Bar Rescue. It stars Jon Taffer, the owner and chairman of bar/nightclub consulting firm Taffer Dynamics, Inc.  He is a bar and nightclub owner that has owned, started or flipped over 800 establishments! The gist of the show is that bar owners who own an establishment that is failing, submit an application to have Taffer and his team come in and ‘rescue’ them.

I promise, there is a meaning to this post 😉

As I was watching an episode, Taffer went into a failing establishment and said to the bar owner (or the manager – don’t remember off the top of my head), after hearing her say that she was doing everything herself (behind the bar, in the office, etc):

“You’re so busy IN the business you don’t have time to work ON it. Can’t you delegate some of that?”

So, that got me to thinking about YOU! If you are trying to do everything yourself (like she was), then you are too busy working IN (handling customer service, scheduling things, submitting articles, updating your website(s), and the list goes on and on) your business to be working ON your business.

You can’t afford to be doing this.  To make money, you need to be working ON your business – promoting/marketing, creating info products, teaching via webinars/teleseminars/speaking, etc.

Don’t you think it’s time to stop working in your business and start working on your business?

I currently have room to take on a couple retainer clients and you have 2 options to choose from – a 10 hour package or a mini package of just 3 hours! Click here for more info and to sign up so I can help you free up some time so that you can start working ON your business instead of IN it.
